Carly Vickers is a designer and Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at UNSW, Sydney. Her work is engaged with the application of interdisciplinary design methodologies in both personal practice and team contexts, and she currently holds the position of Academic Lead for the ADA Innovation Hub. The Innovation Hub is a faculty-wide program that works with interdisciplinary teams of staff, students, community and industry partners to seek and solve problems through project-based initiatives. Carly holds degrees in Music Performance (Sydney Conservatorium of Music) and Design (1st Class Hons) and is currently completing a PhD in interdisciplinary creative practice (UNSW).
As a practicing designer-maker Carly's work is primarily conceptual - drawing upon materials and methods from visual, object and experience design to communicate ideas.
